John Dall was an American film actor who was born on May 26, 1918, in New York City, New York, United States. He started his career in show business as a radio performer in the 1930s before transitioning to Broadway in the 1940s. He then made his debut in the film industry in 1945 in the film "The Corn Is Green" before his breakthrough performance in the 1948 film "Rope," directed by Alfred Hitchcock. He starred in several notable films throughout the 1950s, including "Gun Crazy," "Spartacus," and "The Man Who Could Cheat Death." He also appeared on television in shows such as "The Ford Television Theater" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." Dall passed away on January 15, 1971, due to complications from pneumonia.
